The Master of Hidden Forms and Plant and Mineral Alchemy

Origin and Legend

The genesis of Decarabia (known in some variants as Carabia) lies far from traditional anthropomorphic pantheons. Its roots sink deep into primitive animism, Phoenician mysticism, and the secret knowledge of the hidden properties of the plant and mineral kingdoms. In its original conception, this entity personifies the Eye of Secret Nature, the cognitive force that penetrates the crust of matter to reveal the magical essence of plants, precious stones, and winged creatures. In classical Goetic sources, Decarabia does not initially assume human form nor that of a terrifying monster; it manifests in a sublime and enigmatic way as a five-pointed star (a living pentagram) that moves and spins in space before responding to the operator's call.

Historical Evolution

In the demonological hierarchy of the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum and the Lesser Key of Solomon, Decarabia is listed as a Great Marquis with thirty legions of spirits under his command. The grimoires of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries highlight his ability to teach the virtues of all the herbs of the earth and the properties of precious stones, as well as his power to transform or make illusions of flying birds appear before the magician, which sing and drink like real birds. For the persecutors of witchcraft, this was seen as mere illusion magic or devilish sleight of hand. However, in the tradition of traditional witchcraft and green alchemy, Decarabia was always valued as the true librarian of sympathetic magic and the mastery of nature spirits.

Esoteric Significance

Decarabia represents the archetype of Microcosmic Geometry and the Illumination of Discrete Matter. The five-pointed star shape in its initial manifestation is the symbol of the Microcosm: the balanced human being who masters the four elements through the quintessence of the spirit. On the esoteric plane, Decarabia is the initiator into the arts of occult medicine, astrological herbalism, and petramancy. He does not limit himself to the superficial study of a plant or mineral, but instead reveals the Numen or the resident spirit within each plant and crystalline form. He is the mind that understands how cosmic energy condenses into botany and how to manipulate those energetic signatures to alter the subtle and physical environment of the magician.

Practice and Manifestation

The manifestation of Decarabia is crystalline, geometric, and strangely silent. It produces an alteration in the practitioner's peripheral vision, where the shapes of nature seem to glow with a geometric aura and the colors of vegetation and minerals intensify drastically.

Manifestation in the Individual: It becomes present when the magician seeks to work with the magic of elixirs, the crafting of plant or mineral talismans, or when they need to veil their presence from others through the art of fascination and astral camouflage (symbolized by the illusory birds).

Approach and Sovereignty: To interact with Decarabia, the practitioner must possess an analytical, receptive, and deeply observant mind. A lack of respect toward the forces of nature or a crude and irresponsible approach invalidates communication with this spirit. The sovereign operator positions themselves in the center of the pentagram (their own spirit governing matter), approaching Decarabia as a master of botany and occult mineralogy. Protection is found in the magician's own elemental balance: by being aligned with the five points of their own inner star, the practitioner cannot be deceived by the optical or sensory illusions that this entity is capable of deploying.
