Yehudiam: The Herald Who Unmakes the Cords of the Body

The Surgeon of the Silver Light

Among the fourteen administrators of death who watch over the detachment of life, Yehudiam stands out for his cold and mathematical precision. He does not possess the fiery terror of Hemah nor the devouring immensity of Leviathan; his nature is one of unbearable sharpness. Ancient seers described him as a being of cutting, silver light, whose fingers end in filaments of pure ice that can slide between the atoms of the flesh without damaging it, seeking only the secret knot that binds the soul to the physical body. Yehudiam is in charge of the "disconnection." Every human being is born with an invisible thread, a current of vital energy that keeps the spirit anchored to the organs of clay. When the time allotted to an individual reaches its final second, Yehudiam descends with a scroll of parchment where the exact vibration of that life is written and, with the precision of a celestial craftsman, cuts the cord.

The Process of Silent Separation

The arrival of Yehudiam is preceded by a sudden loss of sensation in the limbs. The dying person feels that their hands and feet no longer belong to them, becoming heavy as lead, while their mind experiences an icy but absolute clarity. The angel does not speak; he simply leans over the bed and begins to pull the silver thread. This process can be painful or painless depending on how much the soul resists leaving its home of flesh. If the individual clings with desperation to their earthly possessions or their grudges, Yehudiam must apply a cutting force that tears the periphery of the spirit, leaving scars that will take eons to heal on the astral plane. But if there is acceptance, the angel slides his fingers gently and the soul detaches like a drop of dew sliding down a leaf at dawn.

The Weight of the Last Breath

Yehudiam also holds the scales of the last breath. At the moment of separation, he collects the man's final exhalation in a vial of clear crystal. This breath contains the essence of all the words spoken, the broken oaths, and the silenced truths during earthly existence. This vial is carried by the angel himself before the courts of the mid-heaven, where it will serve as irrefutable testimony in the judgment of the soul. Therefore, the presence of Yehudiam is as much that of a liberator as that of a silent prosecutor; he does not judge with words, but presents the pure evidence of the air that man used to live, revealing whether it was spent in the light or dissipated in the darkness.
