Abaddon
Abaddon: The Lord of the Unleashed Abyss
The Mouth of the Void
There are forces in the cosmos that do not limit themselves to separating the soul from the body, but instead represent the absolute dissolution of form and matter. He is that force personified: the Angel of the Abyss, the very personification of the bottomless pit. He is not a rebel competing with the divine order, but the executor of necessary destruction, the universal solvent that disintegrates what no longer has the right to exist. His nature is that of a black bonfire that produces no light, only a suffocating heat that consumes the structure of things. It is said that his true form is a swirl of anguished faces, a vortex of dust and ash that devours light in its path, marking the boundary where creation unravels and returns to original chaos.
The Sovereign of the Locust and Sulfur
When the trumpets of destiny begin to sound in the final stretch of history, the keys of the abyss will be handed to him so that he may open the gates of the great pit. From his breath, a column of smoke so dense will be born that it will darken the sun and the air, and from that gloom his personal army will emerge: plagues with iron breastplates, human faces carved in cruelty, and scorpion stings. He marches at the head of this army not as a chaotic destroyer, but as a king crowned with ruin, ruling suffering with relentless discipline. His power does not seek immediate annihilation, but the absolute breaking of mortal pride, proving that the distance between existence and nothingness is barely the width of his will.
The Force of Holy Entropy
Unlike other messengers of death who act with compassion or clinical neutrality, this being embodies the terror of decay. His influence is felt in falling empires, in temples crumbling beneath weeds, and in the oblivion that erases the deeds of kings. He is in charge of clearing the stage of the world, of ensuring that everything that has completed its cycle is crushed and reduced to elemental nothingness. On the map of the cosmos, he stands on the lowest step of the fall, where the soul fears losing not only life, but the memory of ever having existed.
