Origin and Legend

The origin of Kimaris (also known as Cimeries or Cimejes) has its roots in the myths of warrior kings and equestrian deities of the Berber and North African realms, intertwined with the pre-Islamic worship of earth spirits and mountain guardians. Far from conventional satanic imagery, the original core of this entity represents the Night Conqueror, the guide who crosses the deserts of mind and matter to reclaim what is buried. In the oldest narratives of the Goetic tradition, Kimaris never appears as a shapeless monster, but as a warrior of majestic bearing, crowned and mounted on a black horse of colossal strength. His figure embodies the composure of a commander who does not need to raise his voice to dominate his surroundings.

Historical Evolution

During the systematization of Renaissance demonology, Kimaris was cataloged as a Great Marquis who rules over the regions of Africa, having charge of all entities that inhabit desert places and structures hidden underground. Esoteric literature from the 16th to the 18th century reduced him to a "finder of lost treasures" and a master of grammar. However, for grimoires of practical magic, his ability to teach grammar did not refer to the syntax of everyday language, but to the Sacred Grammatica or Gramarye: the ancient art of articulating words of power, spells, and formulas of command. In the 20th-century occultist reevaluation, Kimaris went from being a simple seeker of gold coins to being understood as the unearther of repressed psychological talents and indomitable willpower.

Esoteric Significance

In the structure of ceremonial magic and the disciplines of the Left-Hand Path, Kimaris embodies the archetype of the Shadow Hero and the Guardian of Autonomy. He represents the capacity of the human spirit to ride upon the darkest instincts (symbolized by his powerful black steed) without losing control or royal dignity. On the alchemical plane, he rules over the process of Calcinatio and the search for the Materia Prima hidden in the depths of being. Kimaris is the firm will that unearths the "treasures" of the unconscious: forgotten traumas, dormant psychic abilities, and the strength of character necessary to overcome any earthly or spiritual blockage. He is also the ruler of eloquence and imperious persuasion.

Practice and Manifestation

The presence of Kimaris is felt as a tide of self-confidence, physical firmness, and an imposing silence that instinctively dispels fear. His energy is dense, regal, connected to the earth element and contained martial strength.

Manifestation in the Individual: It projects into reality when the practitioner needs to overcome a test of extreme endurance, when there is a need to eradicate cowardice, or at the moment of unearthing truths or objects carefully hidden by third parties. It grants an intimidating physical presence and a voice endowed with natural authority.

Approach and Sovereignty: Kimaris is approached from royal dignity, never from supplication or servility. Dealing with him requires the operator to assume complete command of their own personal sphere. Protection against his most overwhelming aspect lies in self-control: if the practitioner shows weakness of character or a lack of firmness, Kimaris's energy will simply ignore them or crush them under the weight of its own gravity. Balance is maintained when the magician acts as a sovereign who covenants with another sovereign, channeling that equestrian force to eradicate doubt and assert their place in the physical world.
