Deros: The Underground Degeneration of Earth's Caverns

Who They Are

The deros (a term derived from *Detrimental Robots*) are a degenerate and hostile humanoid race that inhabits the deepest levels of Earth's cavern system. They are not mechanical robots, but organic beings whose minds and genetics have undergone an extreme devolution. They are sadistic, mentally unstable, and technologically advanced, but completely lack empathy, a soul, or a connection to the creator source. They represent one of the greatest hidden dangers to the mental health of the Earth's surface population.

Origin and Place in Stellar History

The origin of the deros dates back to the fall of Lemuria and Atlantis. When these empires collapsed due to geological cataclysms and nuclear wars, a faction of the population sought refuge in the deepest tunnels of the Earth's crust. Exposed to radiation from abandoned technologies, total isolation from the sun, and the compulsive use of mind control machines of regressive extraterrestrial origin, their genes mutated. The researcher and writer Richard Shaver extensively documented the existence of these beings and their underground cities in the first half of the 20th century, revealing the danger they represent.

Their History with Humanity

The deros wage a silent and asymmetrical war against surface humanity. They use ancient Atlantean and reptilian technology abandoned in the depths—machines known as "mechanical rays" or "wave-projection devices"—to send harmful frequencies to the surface. These waves induce states of paranoia, madness, homicidal impulses, nightmares, and mental imbalances in human beings. In addition, they conduct nightly raids to the surface through hidden entrances in caverns and underground bases to abduct humans, using them for sadistic experiments and as a food source.

Relationship with Other Races

They are declared enemies of the teros, the benevolent underground race that attempts to contain their influence. The deros have established alliances with regressive factions of the grays and intraterrestrial reptilians, allowing them to use their networks of tunnels and shared bases (such as the facilities under Dulce, New Mexico) in exchange for technology that allows them to perfect their methods of psychological and physical torture.

Intentions and Interests

Their sole interest is the survival of their degenerate lineage, the control of underground resources, and the sadistic manipulation of surface humanity. They hate direct sunlight, which is lethal to their mutated bodies, so they seek to keep humanity plunged into ignorance and chaos to prevent humans from exploring and clearing out the underground world.

What They Are Like

Physically, the deros are described as grotesque and sickly-looking humanoids. Their skin is a cadaverous white or grayish color, lacking pigmentation due to the lack of sunlight. They have flat noses, pointed and disproportionate ears, and bulging eyes, without well-defined eyelids, that glow with a reddish hue in the dark. Their bodies are often obese and deformed, a consequence of their sedentary lifestyle and degenerate diet. They wear rudimentary technological garments and carry short-range energy-projection weapons.
