Temeluch
Temeluch: The Protector of Voiceless Souls
The Angel of the Premature Threshold
In the most subtle folds of existence, there where human life barely begins to outline itself or is extinguished before uttering its first cry of pain, dwells Temeluch. His name evokes a shudder in those who study the secrets of the afterlife, for he is a being of a dual and baffling nature: he possesses a severe, almost implacable appearance, yet his mission is the tenderest act of love and rescue in the celestial cosmos. He is the guardian of unborn children, newborns who die without receiving the shelter of the community, and the infant souls that the earth discards ahead of time.
His figure resembles a column of tempered bronze, with eyes that shine with the warmth of a lit hearth in the midst of the harshest winter. In his arms, which have held millions of trembling souls, there is no weakness, but rather the strength necessary to snatch the spirits of the innocent from the clutches of dissolution or oblivion.
The Rescue of the Helpless
When a pregnancy is interrupted, when a child is abandoned to death by human cruelty or misery, or when illness cuts short a life in its earliest bud, Temeluch manifests at the site of pain. No one on earth sees his arrival, but the atmosphere is suddenly filled with the scent of myrrh and warm milk. He gathers the soul of the little one before the cold of death frightens it, wrapping it in his cloak of golden light.
Temeluch is fearsome to the guilty. Those who harm children find in this angel their most implacable judge; his severe gaze pursues the oppressors of childhood throughout their lives and awaits them at the judgment with the scales of retribution ready. But for infant souls, his wings are the safest nest. He transports them far from the dense atmosphere of the earth, ascending toward the celestial plains where suffering has no memory.
The Educator of Light
The protective role of Temeluch does not end with the rescue. Those souls that departed from the earth without having developed their consciousness, without having learned to speak, to love, or to understand creation, need a guide. Temeluch takes them to a special region of paradise, a cosmic nursery surrounded by celestial fruit trees and fountains of living water.
There, this bronze colossus becomes a teacher and a father. With infinite patience, he teaches them the language of light, reveals to them the mysteries of creation, and allows them to grow in spirit until they reach the maturity of the righteous. Under the tutelage of Temeluch, those souls that the earth deemed useless or invisible are transformed into beings of resplendent wisdom, ready to take their place in the choir of eternity. The guardian watches over their development with the silent pride of one who knows he has snatched the most precious of divine harvests from the void.
